We felt like we waited forever for this day-- Closing on our new house!
But the kiddos kept on growing and the place kept feeling smaller. About a year ago we got really serious and took the plunge. We called the realtor and did some painting and got the little place ready for pictures. After a week and a half on the market we got a cash offer. That's when it started to sink in. It's happening and we need to find a place to live!!
There was no place on the market that fit our family's needs so we took the hard route.
First we moved to the deep dark woods. A single wide trailer literally in the deep dark woods. We had no Internet and i actually read a stack of real books!!
After 2 months in the deep, dark woods another single wide trailer became available.
This one was right next door to Curtis' sister's family.
The children were right next door to their cousins.
No complaining from them. They made so many memories!
Meanwhile we would check the online realtor sites every single day. Many times a day. Like all.the.time. Till we were just so tired of it!!!!!
We looked at a couple places. Considered an offer on one. 6 months passed since our move from our little double wide. We tried to be patient. Tried being the key word.
And then one day about 30 minutes after the house was put on the market i was browsing Zillow in despair. And there i saw it....
The rest is history.
Well, there is more to the that story, but i said all that to say.
The wait is worth it.
Waiting is never easy, but worth it.
Leaving our little double wide-
ONE, TWO skip a few..
No pictures of our sweet little trailers that made us appreciate our new home so much more. :)
EIGHT MONTHS LATER ---MOVING TO OUR NEW HOME!!!
One can simply not move with out lots of help from friends and family! We would have never survived with out the help.
After 3 moves one would think that i would be pretty good at moving by now.
Actually, i think i got worse at it.
The one thing i got better at was accepting or asking for help.
In the first move i thought could handle it it and almost died.
Not really, but almost.
Always swallow pride and accept help. :)
